Juno couldn't hear anything under the pressure of the water against her skin. The one of her ears closest to the hose hurt despite being covered, and so did the parts of her head she hadn't managed to cover. And so did her skin. Everything hurt, if she really paid attention. She tried not to scream, especially because somehow there was so much force to the water that it was making her cough.
When the hose turned off Juno didn't move, simply allowed herself to breathe, regain lung strength, really feel the surreal burn on her skin. The world was all askew, and Juno wondered how she had never learned the power of a fire-hose before. She wished she'd known. Without moving too much, she heard the sound of handcuffs, and Simms' voice as if outside an aquarium. Juno turned her head slightly to spy him cuffing Cecilia to the bunk-bed by one arm. That meant he was coming for Juno. She turned her head again and set her jaw, arms around her head.
When he pulled her by ankles Juno let out a gasp of surprise. He was going to break her face from the fall if she wasn't careful, and like fuck she'd give him that so easily. She moved her arms to protect her face, even though her head hit the bunk sideways on her voyage down, and so did her ribs, and finally she landed on her chest with the wind knocked out of her. Now she could taste blood. And her nose was definitely broken.
Being dragged by the ankles was nothing new to her, and while Juno could have grabbed onto the cell bars and made it hard for him she decided to save her strength, and focus on not getting any more damaged than she already was. Her nose hurt like a bitch and it was messing with her vision, that was bad enough. When he stopped, Juno opened her eyes to see herself in the middle of the hall. She turned her face to one sie, slowly, panting as she could finally breathe unimpeded...were it not for her clogged up painful nose. It was better than trying to breathe under pressurized water. Even with her nose gushing blood, and even though she had busted her lip on the way down Juno looked up at Simms, a crazed expression in her eyes. She almost smiled. The girl who'd gotten buried by old memories of someone else and paralyzed when he'd first assaulted her wasn't here anymore. Now she just wanted enough of a window to fuck him up good. She didn't voice it, but Kiley was absolutely right.
One of them would have to die eventually. And right now, Juno didn't feel the least bit suicidal.
