Who: Levi and Juno
When: Morning
Where: His room, the Second floor landing
The first thing Levi noticed when he stirred and cracked open his eyes was that his head hurt like a motherfucker. He immediately closed his eyes again and groaned. His whole body felt... heavy. Sluggish. He could tell he was in bed, but this bed wasn't his. It was too damn comfortable to be his. He had the fleeting thought that maybe he'd gone home with someone, but... no. He got a flat tire. He got a flat tire and that's the last thing he remembered. Groaning again, Levi opened his eyes and squinted as he looked around the room. Definitely not his room. This was one was bigger... nicer. Way nicer.
Then he noticed the hospital gown and felt the IV in his arm. What kind of hospital was this? A rehab center? For what, though. He wasn't an addict. Shit, he didn't know. Levi didn't try to push himself. He didn't feel like he was in any real danger, even though he felt groggy and his neck was a bit sore. He wondered if maybe he'd got hit by a car while checking out his flat tire. Though if that were the case, he'd probably be in bandages, or have some real pain.
It took some time before he was able to move again without feeling nauseous. Curiosity pushed past the discomfort in his body, and Levi carefully slipped out of the bed. He barely thought about it before he tugged the IV out of his arm. Fresh pain surged through him, and he used the edge of his hospital gown to press against the blood that began to seep from where the needle had been. IV meant someone was keeping him hydrated, so obviously whoever brought him here wanted him alive and feeling all right. He could tell from the way he felt that he'd been sedated. It'd wear off soon enough.
He padded over to the box that read OPEN ME in the corner of his room. He swayed to the left once or twice, but managed to get there without falling over. Opening the box, Levi found his clothes inside. Slacks, work shirt, tie and shoes. He could change and figure out just where the hell he was. Only, the thought of taking off the hospital gown and struggling into his clothes was exhausting. Levi rifled through the box, but couldn't find his phone, or wallet. More than a little confused, Levi stood again, still mindful of his body still reacting to the sedative. He looked around the room again and then spotted the phone by the bed. It wasn't his phone, but it was a phone.
When he reached it, he turned it on, finding himself slightly annoyed by the fact that it didn't appear to work. Not as a phone should. He couldn't dial anything, or bring up the internet. There was something called the network. Levi pulled it up, his confusion deepening at the messages he found.
"Seriously, what the hell." Sighing, and growing impatient now, Levi turned to head for the door, phone in hand, still wearing his hospital gown. Unconcerned with what he might find on the other side, he pulled open the door and stepped out into the hall. It was a large area, with several other doors on either side and across the hell. It looked like a hotel. Or a big fucking house. But it was quiet, and so Levi walked over to the two open doors and peered inside. One looked like a game room. The other some kind of television viewing place. Whoever lived here had money.
Intrigued, Levi started down the stairs, hoping to find some sign of life. He was starting to feel like this was the beginning of The Walking Dead, or that other zombie movie, 28 Days Later. Man wakes up from coma, no one's around and the world has gone to shit. A zombie apocalypse would be kind of cool, actually. Levi always thought he would do pretty well surviving an apocalyptic shit storm. Every man for himself, and he was damn good at that.
He was just nearing the second floor landing when his knees felt weak and buckled, causing him to fall on his ass at the bottom of the stairs. Instinctively grabbing the banister kept him from knocking his head back on the stairs, but it still fucking hurt. Levi groaned in pain before laughter bubbled in his throat. Whoever was watching him on camera was probably enjoying the show.
