As Kiley sat up, Chase shifted, holding a hand over Chell to make sure she didn't flop onto the floor, and turned to lay down, plopping his head lightly onto Kiley's leg. The cat didn't appreciate the movement, wiggling herself out of his grasp and sleepily plodding up to his stomach, curling up in a ball there.
"I wouldn't mind a dog," he reasoned, but after thinking on it he continued. "I mean, a cat's better when you live in an apartment. I don't think it's really fair to have a big dog with no space, you know? Here the room's not so big, but there's a lot of space outside, so it's not so bad." He yawned lightly, shaking his head. "That and I work at the shop all day back home, so a dog would be home all alone. That's not right. Cat's don't mind all that much."
