Tara, Lennon, open
Tara nodded slightly, a little curious about the story behind it but maybe it was just a reference to some pop culture thing she wasn't aware of. Why anyone would name that statue anything was beyond her; she mostly just tried not to be aware of the fact it was right next door to her.
And she was going to stop looking at things he opened now. She understood perfectly well how a girl vibrator worked but she wasn't that inclined to think about what guys did with vibrators. So she stared sort of awkwardly at the gift in her hands while she tried to process words. "I didn't," she said quietly. "Expect this. I live in Wyoming for crying out loud. Hardly kidnap capital of the world," she continued. "The biggest crimes we have are ... land disputes or who's paying for damage that a stray cow did." Her voice was low so as not to disturb the others, but it was also emphatic. She, clearly, was still working through some things.
He didn't need her unloading on him though, so she pursed her lips and resumed the tugging away of tape and peeking into gifts before unwrapping them.
So they got punished, and they got rewarded. "Do you get punished if you try and just ... can't?" Given that she had no idea what she was up against, or what to expect, and the only punishment she'd really heard discussed was the one presumably for not keeping things clean, she wasn't sure what to expect on that front. What if they asked impossible things, she tried her best, and she just failed? It didn't seem fair to get punished for trying. Not that she had any idea what they'd be asking of her, but she didn't think there was a whole lot she'd balk at or not attempt if it meant not being punished.
Then again, she'd never, ever imagined a situation like this before. Maybe everything here was going to be a dilemma, a rock and a hard place. She guessed she'd see if she survived the first thing that got thrown at her, but she had some doubts, and some anxieties, on that front. Letting her attention wander around the room, she shook her head and finished unwrapping one of the puzzle books. Well, that was good. Something to keep her mind occupied, at any rate.
