Oliver couldn't help but chuckle at the idea that he needed a moment with the plant, as if he were going to talk to it. He glanced over his shoulder, faintly smiling as Edwin moved into the bathroom to presumably fill a cup. His hand reached out to brush gently across the leaves again, but knew that handling it too much wasn't really a good idea. None of this likely was. The plant would undoubtedly go the way of the rings, but there was no point in thinking too hard about it now.
He heard Edwin reenter and inhaled, then exhaled a sigh before reaching his arms up to stretch. It was reflexive, trying to relieve the bit of tension that was left as he turned and nodded, then took the cup. "Thanks, elf." He emptied it carefully into the pot, then left the cup on the table for now, shifting back to face Edwin and hovering near the foot of the bed. He wasn't looking at the box of ornaments, but the bass, the corner of his mouth turning up. "You know, you could probably leave it right there and we'd never notice with how big this bed is."
