Edwin's hand found Oliver's back again, because he felt like he should be doing something, and that Oliver needed something, but in that moment, he wasn't sure what that something was. He practically jumped at the question, giving Oliver's shoulder a squeeze as he nodded. "Yeah, how about I get that for you? I can... I can give you two a minute alone." He smiled a little, not sure himself if he was being thoughtful, or just a little ridiculous.
He gave Oliver the room for a minute, stalling in the bathroom to wash out a cup and then refill it, then brush his hair some in case Oliver tried to get another picture. It was more to give Oliver a moment to talk to... Well, Jason, if not the plant, but something that could be done quick enough like he wasn't trying to avoid the whole situation. The last thing he wanted was to give the impression that he was uncomfortable with all this. He'd asked for the plant, after all. Hell, it felt important to him that Oliver had it.
He was back with the water a moment later, passing it off before going back to the box, pulling out both the box of ornaments, and his still wrapped photo album. He set the ornaments on the bed near Oliver, then hesitated with his present, scratching at the tape a second before putting the book down, too. He wanted to see his family, but this wasn't the right time. And that was fine.
