Tara wasn't immediately aware the 'hi' had been aimed at her - she'd assumed his presence was more proximity of pile than anything else - but when no one replied, she glanced over and offered him a little smile. "Hey," she replied as she added a newly unwrapped plushie to the pile of gifts she'd already divested of paper, which she'd shoved into the bag that someone had been thoughtful enough to hand out.
"I'm Tara," she introduced herself since she was pretty sure she hadn't met him yet. "It is ... crazy," she agreed. "And thank you," she added, her brow furrowing. "If there's something in here from you, and sorry because I didn't get you anything." If she'd known ... if she'd had any idea, she would've at least done something for everyone, even the people who hadn't talked to her yet, but she'd been a little shy about it.
