"Not yet," she replied to the question as she fixed her coffee. "Noah's going to take me later today though," she said, though she glanced again to the window. Well, if he didn't want to ... it wasn't like she'd never taken a snowmobile in the snow before. It wasn't even that bad of a snowfall, either.
"I dug through the boxes," she admitted before the rest of it really registered with her. Her own stuff? Somehow, that seemed to magnify the creepy factor of an already creepy situation. The idea of them abducting her was one thing, but pawing through her things to bring them here, too? But why not? Maybe someone was already going through her things while someone else was knocking her out. Maybe a whole army of ninjas had descended on the ranch.
Ridiculous, she guessed but once the thoughts started rolling, it was hard to stem them.
She carried her coffee back to the table after putting away the cream and sugar - no way was she going to leave them out - and resettled into her seat. "I'll have to keep an eye out," she murmured. "See what else of mine they took." Besides her, of course. She stirred at her cereal before fishing out the last few cereal pieces to finish it off. "Is there anything you wish someone had told you when you were new?" She asked. "I'm trying to ... get as much of a handle on this as I can," she added by way of explaining.
