Tara and Noah
She nodded. "Someone said. That ... everyone was in this position once and people would help. I'm just ..." She dropped her eyes and shrugged before glancing back up to him. "I don't ... like being a bother. I can handle a lot on my own but this ..." Her face crumpled briefly before she pressed her lips together to fight back the tears. "Well, I've never been kidnapped before. I don't know ... how to handle this."
Another nod, and a painfully grateful smile. She would've gone down by herself if it came to that, but it seemed better to have a tour guide. And someone who might be able to keep her from doing the senseless thing she knew she was going to try to do anyway - find the barrier. See for herself. So she'd know.
"What ... what time? I don't want you to get up early on my behalf," she added. If she slept at all, she figured she'd still be up early. One didn't rise at five every morning to forget how to do that overnight. Though for all she knew, the sedative had done something to her internal clock but she guessed she'd see tomorrow. Either way, a later start would be fine with her if that was what he was inclined toward. It was enough he was taking time out to help her; the least she could do was let him do it on his schedule.
