Tara and Noah
Noah was mildly concerned that he'd said too much when it came to Simms, but he wouldn't feel right not warning her. Like everywhere else in the world, there were people here with no conception of how to treat others-- the most basic rules that anyone with sense should know, like don't assault ladies and punch people in the face-- but this was a closed environment, and despite the guy being in a jail cell, if Noah had been a woman he wouldn't have felt safe just knowing he was there.
"It isn't so bad here usually, once you get past how we got here," he said. "Most people here will help if you need it." She had such a deer in headlights look that he couldn't help wanting to make it better.
Even if Noah'd had other plans for tomorrow, it would have been hard to say no to her on that. Most people would have been intimidated at the notion of going all the way down to town by themselves, never having been there before and with all that snow on the ground and piled up at either side of the path. "Yeah, I'll take you," he said with a nod. "If I can get one of the snowmobiles, we'll ride that down. I drove one earlier today." He didn't want her to think he'd drive a snowmobile with no clue what he was doing.
