Tara and Noah
Tara smiled ruefully. "More questions than answers, right?" But she got it. What kind of kidnapping situation, ever, had laid out the answers at the victims feet? Or at all? Even the stories didn't always have answers. Not ones that satisfied her, anyway but she also never understood why someone would want to kidnap someone to begin with.
"I ... heard," she murmured. "Not any details, but just that there was someone who'd assaulted someone but he was confined." It almost made her feel bad for him, whoever he was. To be kidnapped and then also confined? But if he'd done something to deserve it ... Well, she hardly knew enough about anything to judge anything right now. There was no doubt more to it.
Still, it sort of made her wonder what kind of place this really was, if someone kidnapped by someone else could be confined by other victims ... her brows furrowed as her thoughts started to spiral, and she shook her head slightly to try to chase them away. There'd be plenty of time later when she was lying in an unfamiliar bed, trying to sleep, to wonder about all of these things.
"So what do you do here?" She prompted. "I mean, I tried to get an idea of what I'm supposed to be doing but I'm not sure I have any clear answers on that yet. Are we supposed to ... I don't know. Do chores or something?" It was going to be beyond weird not getting up every morning and dressing for the weather and going down to a barn. She figured she'd probably be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow regardless of when she fell asleep, and she'd probably dress out of habit befor she realized ... well, everything. But tomorrow, if she had the chance, she planned to fully explore the house and maybe venture outside again. She was definitely going to try to see about going into town if only to get a feel for this place she was currently residing.
