Noah was in an odd mood tonight. All day long he hadn't been able to stop thinking about the people who'd been taken out. Eight people at once. There was a part of him that couldn't stop wondering if they'd all been placed in a situation like he'd been with several others from here. He'd been in the old west. What if they were all together on a space station in 2085, or post-apocalyptic New York in 1975? Or they could all be in separate locations, or they could be dead. It was frustrating to have no idea.
Of course, he wasn't 100 percent sure what had happened to him had been real.
He'd wanted distraction from his thoughts today, so he'd ended up putting a 6 foot tree up in the study. Getting it set up and decorating it had taken a couple of hours. Why the study? He liked to read there sometimes, and somehow the glow of tree lights was soothing. He'd kept busy after that, working out, eating, showering. Now he was wandering again, and the billiards room seemed as good a place as any.
There was a girl already in the room, and as he moved toward the bar, he greeted her with "Hello."
