Cecilia was at the point where she was more or less done talking to Rhett, and she figured that feeling was probably mutual. So she followed Rhett down the stairs, silent until Marco questioned her.
"You try getting a coherent answer out of him, if you believe what he says," she suggested. "I think I've had a conversation with eight different people in the past five minutes. His most recent claim is that he doesn't intend to do it, but not two minutes ago he asked me to volunteer and take the injury. He's a real prince."
