The pointed looks and accusations were wearing on his already frayed nerves, and Rhett could feel himself internally shutting down. Was what he asked for so wrong? They were a house full of strangers; it was for his protection. But then again, a deer hunt felt different to the deer than it did to the people.
He smirked. "Well, not all of us were given the task of keeping someone awake." Rhett continued to go down the stairs.
