"I already told you my intentions," Cecilia said, slipping aside and walking after him. No, she wouldn't stop him from leaving his room, nor did she intend to attack him if he didn't make her. She just matched his pace, keeping no more than two steps behind him. She had to fight every instinct she had to not give him more room, more for her own sake than anything else. It didn't appear that he still intended to make her his target, and that helped ease her terror a bit, but it'd be a while before she was truly over it.
"I'm your shadow," she said again. "Where you go, I go. And if you try and hurt anyone, I'll try and stop you. That's my way."
