"I waited to name him," Daphne admitted. "I didn't want to if he couldn't survive down here. It was a bit of a risk. I think he's a corn snake, and they're a bit hardier than some, but he should have a heated tank." She stretched her arm out as the snake worked its way up her arm, tracking his progress with her eyes, a delighted expression on her face. "He'll only have to eat every few days, which is good. But finding a way to knick that tank would be his best hope."
Daphne repositioned herself, turning towards Felix now and sitting in the floor, leaning back against the lockers as the snake continued to explore her wrap his way around her arm. "If it looks like his health fails I'll slip him into Pam's room. She'll adopt him and nurse him back to health, and probably won't think much about where he came from or why."
