Who: Marco & Oliver When: Noonish Where: Marco's room
Marco had stayed with Juno all night, and into the morning. He didn't know if he was helping Juno by holding her, but he was surprised to find that it helped him, even when his mind told him that it wouldn't last, and she could disappear at any time, or he could, or anyone. Still, Juno was there then, and if he could just hang onto her all through the night, then they couldn't take either of them, or they'd have to take both of them. That'd be okay.
Whether or not one of them was supposed to disappear that night, his plan had apparently worked, because they were both there in the morning. He probably could have spent another day in bed, too, up until he started to become really aware of how his cramps had returned, and needed to be dealt with. Juno would know what the cramps meant, he was sure, so he excused himself, but assured her that he'd be back before bed. Unless she needed a night to herself. That was okay, too.
But for now, Marco needed some relief, and so he made his way back down to his room and his bottle of morphine, and tried not to think of how much worse everything was when he was in withdrawal. Even his hallucinations, like the octopus on the computer desk, playing with Kippy and Mills, or the collection of ants in his bed, crawling over the plate from the waffle sandwich Juno had made him the other day. He rubbed his eyes and ignored it. There were no ants in Mount Zenith, after all. No flies, either.
He ignored the bugs and found his pills in the bathroom, and took one. He wasn't sure how he'd managed to keep that up, but he had. Hopefully after a week, he might be able to just do half. He wasn't sure when he should switch. He was bad at this.
He spent some time in the bathroom, because withdrawal was a fucking bitch, before things started to feel better, and he went out to sit at his desk. Still ants, still an octopus. He continued to ignore both for the network, and the weird message from the Subject 0 person. He was still trying to think up a question to ask when someone knocked, and he jumped to let them in, in case it was Juno again.
