Who: Camille and Pam Where: third floor hallway When: Morning
It took Camille a little while to get acclimated after waking up. She woke disoriented and dealing with the IV and new surroundings had only heightened her fear. She tried escaping first, checking the door and then the windows. A look outside indicated she was not in Boise anymore. There was nothing but snow and trees and mountains. It might have been beautiful, like the room she'd woken up in, if she hadn't been so terrified.
Camille had found the box of her clothes next, relieved that she at least had those, even though her purse and phone were missing. She got dressed, still shaky from the IV and uncertainty of her situation. It took awhile, but she finally noticed the computer. There was no internet, but some kind of communication network. It was there she 'spoke' to Cecilia. A nurse. There were 28 others. Something about genetics and a town and not being able to leave. It sounded like the plot of a horror movie.
She wanted to freak out. She had a million questions. She wanted to go home, even if that home was Boise. But rather than bombard Cecilia, if she was even real, with questions, Camille left the computer to venture out, now that the door had sounded like it had unlocked. She poked her head out cautiously at first, but felt ready enough to kick someone's ass if she needed to.
"Come on out," she whispered, inching her way out of the room. "I'll karate chop the crap out of you, even though I don't know karate. But I'll make it hurt enough that it won't matter." There were other rooms in the hallway, and they had names on them. Just as hers did. What was happening?
