Kate had approached once everyone else started moving; she reminded herself to post something about her robot baby going missing once things had settled down. She knew, for characterization's sake, that she should be pretending to be more worried than she was. But the trial was her primary concern, for the little she'd had to do with it in an official capacity. She just couldn't bring herself to care about a robot child when everything to do with Simms was finally coming to a head.
She caught the last part of Oliver's quiet words to Cecilia and jumped in, though her voice was low to match his. "Is there actually anything in our instructions that requires us to keep her in the jail with him?" she asked, searching her memory for the exact information they'd been given. "As far as I remember, all it says is that she'll be removed with him - which I have my own theories about, too. But could we not just let her stay in her house? Locked doors or 'private' property have never stopped Them from getting in and moving people around in the night, and I'm not inclined to make things any easier for Them."
She nodded towards Oliver. "Also, at some point much later today after this whole mess, I'll need to speak with you or Owen about filing a missing child report." She rolled her eyes, not caring if her counter stopped. She was entirely over this place. "Much later. Or never. Screw the points, I just don't care." Unless they were all to be removed in the night, she'd have enough points for the winter transportation by the wee hours.
"I'm sorry you had to sit through this," she told Juno sympathetically.
