Cecilia couldn't have gotten a word in if she wanted to, not that she was going to tell Oliver she had no intention of calling on Lila in front of everybody, but she didn't. She'd considered it once that morning, before the trial had even started, just to get it on the record that Lila had been offered a possible way out and passed, but she'd decided against it. It was a level she wasn't comfortable stooping to. Baiting Simms was one thing, throwing a woman she knew nothing about under the bus was another entirely. When Juno sat back down Cecilia took a look around the room, took a short breath, and looked back to Oliver.
"Having thought about it, I'd like to call Erran, if it will be permitted," she said. "Then I will make a final statement and rest my case."
