Erran's line of reasoning had Juno staring at him with a furrowed brow, and she had to try very hard not to pipe up to ask what the fuck that had to do with her. The notion that they might spare him to spare Lila entered her mind then and she started wondering if that wasn't the point in the first place: They didn't want him gone so they put someone else's fate in with his. Eyeing the jury, she suddenly became very afraid that they would see only Lila and 'oh well' to the rest of it.
Cecilia wasn't the only one nervous about her decision, but what if it was the only way to keep him away permanently? Juno couldn't think of any other way, she knew she wasn't ready - physically or emotionally - to deal with him being in the same place as her and on the loose, but she also knew that whatever 'expulsion' he and Lila suffered would be bullshit. They probably just got to go to the mansion earlier. When she was told to sit down Juno felt like she'd be floating back to her place, then sank into her seat like a deflated balloon. While Chase spoke she remained there, looking ahead, nigh emotionless but for the occasional hand twitch. It was impossible not to listen, though, and it was like remembering it all over again. She was so fucking tired of remembering that shitty morning. So tired. Juno closed her eyes, sighing, and wondered how much of this shit she could take.
