Cecilia nodded and stood, walking around the table to stand in the middle of the floor and face the jury box. She still felt a little ridiculous, but she carried herself with assurance, as though she had all the confidence in the world. "I am not going to bother attempting to stay in character," she announced, speaking in a loud and clear voice, figuring it best to get that out of the way. "To be honest I see this whole ordeal as an effort to sabotage the 'game,' so I'm just gonna go ahead and take that hit for the group. Though I will break character sometimes, if I have to ask people like Juno questions, I will do so in a way that allows them to stay in character, and thus, in the game if they want to."
She scanned the faces of the 'jury', and powered ahead. "Twenty-six days ago, Simms was placed in Mount Zenith. Each and every one of us knows the horror of waking up in an unknown place under very bizarre circumstances, but having been here from the very beginning I can honestly say Simms was the first one to lash out in such a violent manner. The first thing he did was take Jack Montgomery hostage, beating on him when Jack tried to help, and nearly breaking his arm in the process. He had to be physically restrained and talked down from that encounter. Eight days later he attempted to rape Juno. He followed her, cornered her, accosted her, attempted to physically overpower her, all while she told him repeatedly to stop. Once again, if someone hadn't come along and physically forced him to stop, God knows what he would have done. But he didn't stop there. Upon getting back to the house the very first thing he did was let himself into Lennon's room and assault him, for seemingly no reason whatsoever. At that point he was apprehended, and has remained locked up ever since. Because he," she said, pointing at Simms, "is a danger to all of us. He is a wild animal, who has been combative every step of the way. There is no defense for the things he has done, which is rather fitting considering he has never offered one. I whole heartedly believe he has no business being in this place, but if he must be, he belongs in that cell. In just a little over a week of freedom he left behind three victims of violence, one of his attempted acts being, in my eyes, entirely unforgivable. I'm going to ask his victims to tell their stories, and then I'm going to ask you to find him guilty. After that, I hope we can be done with him for once and for all."
She turned to look at Juno. Though she had been speaking in an authoritative tone, her expression and voice were gentler when she spoke again. "Juno? Are you ready?"
