Cecilia frowned at Jack, too unhappy to admit she had no idea if Owen had gotten the rest of the council involved. She hadn't been rational at the time, and the idea hadn't occurred to her at all. "I didn't stick around long enough to find out. My priority was finding Juno. Making sure she heard it in person, and keeping her safe." The fact that she'd apparently called what Jack's reaction would be didn't even make her feel better. "Owen's going to shadow him."
She turned to Juno when she spoke up, once again not dealing at all with how she really felt about it. She just nodded her agreement. Sure, whatever Juno wanted. She didn't like it, but she wasn't about to fight her on it, either. "I'll stay until he's off work, then," she said. "Then I can walk you guys to his house, or wherever you need to go."
