Edwin had tried his hardest not to be ansty the entire time that he knew Oliver was in his back room. He was thankful that They had been kind enough to write their affair into the story, but with the knowledge that Oliver was in character somewhere, and their romance was forbidden, all Edwin had wanted all day was to see Oliver, and when he finally came in, only to run off to the back room where they still couldn't even talk, well, it was frustrating as hell. Even he had just been back there watching him get his new ink...
But he still had work to do in his part to play, and he continued to play the nice bartender, serving drinks, mostly to Georgie, before finally asking her if she wouldn't mind watching the bar for a little bit if he suddenly had an errand to run. He knew she knew the real reason, and it gave him a good reason to promise her free drinks.
So when Oliver finally asked for his attention, it took effort for Edwin to not drop everything and run. "Gin, huh?" he asked as he finished up his pouring. He slid a shotglass over to Georgie, then moved to put the bottle back before he gave Oliver his full attention. "I don't know how much of that I have to spare, but sure, why don't we go back and take a look." He nodded for Oliver to head to the back room, since he obviously knew where it was, having just come from there. He knocked on the counter to let Georgie know that it was time to pay attention and take control of the bar, then he followed him back. He hardly waited for the door to shut before he grabbed Oliver by the collar and pulled him into a deep kiss.
"Sorry," he said when they pulled apart, "I've been thinking about that all day. I should be more careful about the door..."
