The world went very quiet, as it so often did when he was close to her. Cecilia felt goosebumps break out across her skin, her eyes fluttering closed and her heart seeming to match. She drifted in toward him and simply couldn't help but sigh, a sound so happy and contented that it would have sounded foreign to her own ears if she was at all paying attention.
"God, I love you," she murmured, lips still grazing against his. She put her hands on his chest before slowly dragging them up to wrap her arms around his neck. Right then, she could have happily stayed in C39 with him forever. Her lips found his again and this time her kiss wasn't a light brush but a slow and thorough thing, a slow burn spreading out from her chest and enveloping all of her.
