"Oh, aren't you a flatterer," Theo gently mocked, flipping the sketchpad back toward herself. The story was touching, one among many she'd heard as reasons behind why people decided to permanently mark themselves. She wasn't against the idea of any tattoo, but she loved knowing that people were placing special meaning behind the ink she'd give them. It made her love her profession all the more.
"What do you think about the fox's positioning?" Her pencil flew over the sketchpad, making a few crude outlines. Normally, she would've liked a consultation session first, some time to really put together her thoughts regarding a customer's wishes, but she felt pleased about what she was coming up with in that instance. Maybe it was the fact that she had the option of relieving so much tension, or maybe the creativity had been bottled up inside her for too long. Regardless, after another few minutes, she turned the sketchpad back around to Oliver's gaze.
"How do any of these look?" She presented him with three options: the first had the fox running out lengthwise, as though fleeing. The second had it sitting regally, staring out at the viewer. And the third, her personal favorite, had it laying down with its tail unfurled like a banner behind it, floating up like flame or smoke. "A dark black outline with some orange shading? The words can wrap around it, or link between two, like you said, if that's what you want."
