Who: Marco & Juno (and occasionally Jack)
When: Evening
Where: Jack's Diner
Despite the introduction to a strange new environment, the role playing, the separation of races, then news he was married with child, the having Chase as a boss, and the fact that Marco still had no idea what he was doing, today hadn't been bad. The long chat over the "wireless" that he'd had with Juno early in the day had helped put him at ease, and when Chase finally did return, he hadn't just dismissed him to go take care of things he didn't know about. He'd actually taken the time to teach Marco a few basics (which, luckily, Marco mostly forgot to stay "in character" for while he was learning) and then gave him something to do that he could handle. He didn't want to admit it, but he was actually starting to tolerate Chase a lot more than he thought he ever would.
That said, he couldn't wait to get out of work and see Juno. She seemed to be in good spirits when they had chatted, but that didn't do anything to change his desire. The backstory that they'd given them was entirely the thing that Juno had been trying to put out of her mind, and Marco hated Them for it. He could deal with the lower class shit and the weird robo-baby, but this was just cruel. He needed to see Juno, to hear that she was okay.
So, when his work day was done, he clocked out, rolled the top of his coveralls down and tied the sleeves around his waist, and headed straight for the diner, where he knew he'd find his working "wife." Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about getting turned around to find the place when he left. Jack's diner was practically right outside of town hall. If he'd realized it earlier, he would have slipped out to see Juno and give her her hug hours ago.
As he walked into the diner, he wasn't thinking about the other patrons, or the shoeprint he'd leave on the counter. He'd apologize about it later. He just stepped up onto one of the stools, then the counter, then hopped down to the other side, where Juno was, and he pulled her into a tight hug.
