Who: Oliver and Kate Where: Kate's Room When: Around 9:45am
It took a little while for Oliver to wake up after everything that had happened the day before. The bed had been unfamiliar, but smelled good and was warm, and feeling that heat against him, tucked into him, had been enough to put him right back to sleep again. He still wasn't cold when he woke up the second time, yawning and burrowing slightly into Edwin's hair, smelling the man and the remnants of their bath the night before, and was tempted to go right back to sleep again. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Actually prying himself away from Edwin and getting his rearend out of bed had been the most difficult part, particularly with how cold the room outside of the blankets turned out to be. Sometime after the power had gone out his unconscious brain had apparently realized the room was getting colder and had tucked the both of them in up past their noses in blankets. Those blankets felt like a safe haven, and the prospect of leaving them for work and drama to deal with wasn't helping matters. He'd brought an extra pair of clothes and some bathroom items with him when he'd wandered up to Edwin's room the night before, but hadn't prepared himself for the chill in the house. Another pair of jeans, a t-shirt and an over shirt would do alright for a little while, but he'd left his socks and shoes down in his own room. He borrowed a pair of the former from Edwin, which made him grin a little stupidly to himself as he put them on, even aside from all the teasing Edwin threw at him for what big feet he had. He was glad that the man was feeling a little better, though he wished they'd had more time to lounge around together.
When he finally managed the will to leave, making sure that Edwin would be alright on his own at least three times before he stepped out, he realized another good thing about sleeping up in the other man's. Kate's room was on the same floor, and while he was tempted to go down to his own to check out the damage from the day before, then down to the first floor to make sure nothing was going too wrong, he wasn't going to waste the opportunity to check on his girl. Of course, he had no idea what time it was, though judging from the light outside it had to be past eight at least. He was rubbing his arms by the time he made it to her door, and knew that the chill was only going to get worse as the day wore on. He knocked lightly, calling softly just in case there was any danger of waking the room's occupant. "You up, sunshine?"
