Who: Juno & Rae Where: The foyer When: Well after 8am
Despite spending around ninety percent of the previous day working with water in two of its three states unless you counted the steam from the shower, in which case she was three for three, Juno couldn't have been so tired that she had completely failed to hear the alarm clock. And yet, here she was, waking up naturally, nothing chirping into her head. And even without looking at her clock, the fatigue she felt in her muscles meant she had overslept by at least a couple of hours.
Juno jumped off her bed and rushed to put on her gym clothes, wrapping her head into a messy bun instead of the usual high ponytail she took a little time making sure didn't make her look like a crazy person. It was a little chilly, which was nothing if not to be expected after the window stupidity of yesterday, so she put on her black hoodie over her gym clothes to rush downstairs. Before exercising, and probably having to drop and give Audrey another 200 for being late, she needed some coffee. And water, of course.
The first sign that something was amiss should have been that the lights wouldn't turn on, and, it being an interior bathroom, Juno had had to pee in the dark; however she was in too much of a rush to register. She heard voices downstairs, but again, was in too much of a rush to care. Her plan was to run directly to the kitchen then back up to the gym, but something caught her attention in the foyer. There was a second table next to the one where the ugly-ass plant arrangement was usually located, right in the center of the foyer. Juno approached it, and picked up the paper packet.
After reading the first page, Juno's heart was racing slightly, her fingers twitching against the corner of the pages. She wondered whether to turn the page or not, if she even wanted to know. Her conversation with Lennon came to mind; she hadn't really been able to answer one way or another then, either. Juno put the file down, then picked it up; and then she did it four more times.
"Ugh, fuck!" She grunted in frustration, staring down at the first page again.
