Simms appreciated the information, even if he wasn't in the state of mind to say so. He wrapped his hands around the bars in front of him, both to keep from pacing and to avoid throwing something across his cell. One left a worse impression than the other, but he didn't want to do either, in case there was still some chance that he could get the old man on his side. He wasn't sure that was something he could do right then, but the idea was still in his mind. He got taken care of just fine as part of Experiment B, and he had to hope that meant they'd leave his son alone, but the possibility that they wouldn't was still strong. He finally gave the bars a hard shake as he let out a wordless growl.
"This is fucking ridiculous. They give you any info on your kids or grandkids other than that they got this genetic thing?" he asked. "We should be doing something about this. I shouldn't be in this fucking box while no one's fucking doing anything to get us out of here up there. If the power's out, did anyone think to check the barriers?" He knew it was dumb to think that the barriers were out, but the idea of Owen and Cecilia bouncing off of them in the snow at least helped his new mood a little.
