In truth, Simms wasn't sure how to respond to that. His eyebrows shot up, and for a moment he found that he could do do little more than stand there and stare at Reginald and the way the candles cast shadows on his face. Finally he grunted something that was supposed to be a yes, and he reached to take the coffee and breakfast.
"Thanks," he managed to remember. He put the eggs on his desk, favoring talking to the old man for now, but kept the coffee and the toast. "Simms," he said after a bite, "since you asked. I figure you're the new curiosity now, yeah? You're one of the ones who came back, right? I don't got much to do in here other than read network shit." He glanced around the dark room. "Ain't gonna be so fun with the power out."
