Marco nodded thoughtfully. He could deal with elevators, since the time in them was generally short, but the fact that it went down underground made him nervous. And then what would happen if it got stuck? He took a deep breath, and just continued to be proud of himself for going downstairs on his own. "A few times, now," he pointed out, more to himself than Erran. He scanned the room idly for a moment, then went back to nodding. "And I asked Jack to leave me some of the food from the party, though, and it was really good. You should have told me you didn't go, too, I woulda brought you some."
He couldn't help but laugh at Erran, first for his observation with matching gesture, and then for the story about his grandfather. Grinning, he shook his head. "Nah, man, the snow is kind of the coolest fucking thing. I mean, it's cold as shit, and that part could be better," he adjusted his hat then, almost using it to prove that it was, in fact, cold, "but I've always wanted to really play in snow. Um, sometimes, when I was in the hospital for Christmas, we used to decorate, and they'd take this long sheet of white paper, and they'd cut it into a wavy line, you know?" It was his turn to hold his arms up and gesture, making a wavy line while using his fingers as scissors. "To do the, uh, the... Drifts? The drifts? And they'd pop it up on the wall. And they'd do paper snowflakes and lights and shit, and I loved it, but I always wanted to see the real thing and it was too hot for that, and then there was no fucking way I was gonna move somewhere where it snowed when I was homeless. That's how you end up dead, you know? So, uh, Oliver showed me how to make snowmen, and Edwin and Juno showed me how to make snowballs, and that was awesome. And we don't have a sled, but, uh, I was thinking if we have pool floats, right? Same thing, but with water, right? I don't, um, remember if we do, though, or if we had some back at the island or not here. Or maybe they're keeping them all in the basement. But the snow looks really high today and I bet it would be really fun to sled." He was oblivious to the dangers that might come with going out in the snow today, even after Oliver had limited his time outside the day before. It was just a shame to let the snow go to waste.
