Erran nodded, since he hadn't really thought Marco would be down for a basement party; even before the psychotic break he'd been wary of it, and for all they knew Marco might turn out to be right. "Yeah, that makes sense. The basement's weird, and I know at least one person here has claustrophobia about the elevator, and that was before the Simms thing, so you're not the only one to be creeped out. Way more important that you got downstairs," he said.
"Chuck—oh, you mean Rae, probably, right?" Theo had a guy name too, but Rae seemed more likely. "She's a good person, I met her already. This snow is amazing, maybe I should find it scary that there's so much of it but it's cool to watch it fall. Peaceful. Like the sky is a calm jar," he said with a spacey-hippie gesture, laughing at himself a bit. "Do we even have a sled, or are we still working on that? I'm surprised you're so into it, lots of people from warmer climates can't deal. When my grandfather saw snow for the first time—he was from Morocco—he opened the door, looked out, and just said 'Disgusting,' and went back inside."
