"Assuming we don't need to make any big adjustments," Kate said, nodding as she shut the door behind Cecilia and headed over to her sitting area. She'd brought down a dressmaker's dummy as well, where she had a rough cut of the coat she was making for Georgie pieced out and pinned together, just waiting for a time when she could get Georgie over for a fitting. It was doing her more good than she'd initially realized to be making things again, and she reached down to grab the utility vest she'd made with the heavy canvas and solid nylon webbing from Oliver's donated bag. It was designed to fit snugly over Neptune's back, with adjustable straps over his chest above the paws, then over his ribs and hips. There were a series of pouches of different sizes - not many, as she'd been careful to keep some of the material set aside for repairs - and a set of grab loops at his neck and tail in case Neptune himself had to be carried somewhere.
"Here we go," she said, holding it up. "If you want to try it on him, we can make sure everything fits where it's supposed to. I want it to be as comfortable as it can get. We can put some knickknacks or books in the pouches, too, to give it some weight." She wasn't sure what Cecilia wanted him to haul around, but whatever it was, it wouldn't be featherlight, she was sure.
