Well, that answered the question of whether or not Neptune was allowed in Kate's room. Cecilia never assumed on that kind of thing, and wasn't about to force it on anyone. She knew about Kate's asthma, so if she'd rather not have the dog hair in her room, Cecilia wouldn't have been surprised or insulted. Neptune stuck to Cecilia's side as she walked into Kate's room, his tail wagging at the acknowledgement.
In all honesty Cecilia very rarely ever had him in working mode here in Mount Zenith. It wasn't even the sort of thing she utilized much back in the real world; she needed him as a support animal mostly at night, when she was most prone to flashbacks and bad dreams. Here, she still operated on the assumption that most people had no idea he was a service animal, and she was okay with that. They had outed him as her service dog once, but they'd never been specific about it, and like she'd told Oliver: no one had ever asked. She'd only ever told Owen and Oliver the truth of it. If others made assumptions about his status, they'd never been addressed to her. Maybe Oliver was right and people just assumed he was trained as a comfort animal for other people. Cecilia was okay with allowing that image to pass.
She couldn't help but grin, even if she was here for a serious matter. "You finished it?" she asked. That was kind of exciting, and she had the feeling she'd be putting it to a lot of use in the very near future.
