When Billy started to ask a question, Evie glanced over at him with a quirked brow, but he stopped, so she just continued on. She cared less about the fruit and more about what the hell it was doing in a grocery store in an abandoned town, and looking so fresh too. Like someone had just stocked it that morning. Would it look like that every morning, she wondered. Would their overseers actually take the time to reset it all? And that made her wonder if the food in the kitchen at the mansion were being restocked. She hadn't actually spent any time there, really, and she made a mental note to ask Jack. He would know, she thought.
When he finally spoke a full sentence, Evie barely spared him a glance as she moved further into the store, looking around at everything. Shrugging a bit, she said, "I dunno either. There's a chance they might've hid some useful shit around the town, though. I came along more outta curiosity about the security," she admitted, though she didn't know why she was doing so. She'd noticed some cameras on the way into town, and some throughout as well, some of which were somewhat hidden and others obvious. It made her wonder just how extensive the surveillance actually was.
