He followed where she led gladly and without hesitation. There was more of a crowd there, if it could properly be called such; there were enough housemates, at least, to necessitate Daniel's winding through them from time to time. He did not know the vast majority of them, and for the moment he had no desire to change that. There would be time enough for schmoozing later. He kept his eyes ever on Theo's retreating backside, and then on the booze she graciously offered him.
"Well," he said. He smiled behind his risen glass. A measure of bourbon disappeared. Whatever hesitation he may have felt was brief and quickly dismissed. "That sounds like the real party, if you ask me." He nodded toward the bar below here, where a bevy of unattended, unopened bottles waited. "Wanna grab one of those and get out of here?"
