Felix smiled warmly and nodded at the rant about the basement, somewhat tuning out right up until the word 'armpit'. His laugh was half a snort as she stuck out her tongue. "Yeah, well. I'm just glad I'm not the one cleaning it. We'd have an algae pond in there within a week." He nearly asked if that would count as having a pet, but made the quick decision to refrain. As fun as it would be to sneakily remind her of her stupid octopus, now wasn't really a good time to potentially put her off.
Instead, he let his eyes bug out a bit, matching her enthusiasm, and the interest wasn't entirely feigned. "I heard about the chimpanzee thing, but I haven't seen the show. Didn't he, like, rip one of her arms off or something too? Chimpanzee's are crazy strong." Well, this evening was certainly going to a weirdly fun place. He knew Pam was an animal freak, but he could get used to this. "This place needs cable."
