Kai whirled around, all bright and brilliant smiles as Jack joined the room. "Hello again, darling!" she said. She was so happy that Jack was still here. And not just because he was the first person that seemed genuinely pleased she was back. She automatically assumed that the people they removed were going through experiences like her own, or perhaps like Gemma's. She didn't like to think of Jack going through either. She didn't think he'd deal any better with the solitude than she had. "Did you make good things?"
The little brunette trailing behind him was totally unfamiliar to Kai. Kai was happy to note that she looked even younger than she did. Most people felt some degree of discomfort with the youngest participants, at these practically-teenagers going through this sort of thing. Kai just felt relieved to not be the youngest. "Hi! I don't know you! I'm Kai!"
