Pam had not planned on coming down to the party after what had happened that morning. She was embarrassed, mostly, and a little worried, but deep down she wasn't exactly surprised. At least she lost to people who she thought would probably be able to get the job done. Mostly. Kind of.
But she had still been less than eager to go to a party, until her afternoon in the kitchen with Jack and Juno. Jack was always such a sweetheart, and Juno was fine, too, she supposed. The time with friends had turned the day around, and after a bit of prodding, Jack had succeeded in getting Pam to join the party. And it didn't hurt that if the people she had lost to were also at the party, they hadn't come by to talk to her.
She was nursing a glass of wine when Felix moved towards her, and she stood up a bit straighter and blinked before smiling at him. She didn't talk to Felix as much as she probably would have liked, since he was such a cutie patootie. "Oh! Yes! Jack mostly, but Juno and I were assisting. It's delicious, right? Like, I don't know how Jack keeps all these recipes in his head, but that's, like, totally not my talent, so, you know. I can probably bore you with animal facts!" She laughed, then rolled her eyes back and shook her head. "I won't, though, because that's totally weird. Are you having fun?"
