Rae hovered by the food and drinks for quite some time, observing the small crowd that had gathered and planning her inevitable entrance. She had met some of them already, thanks to the impromptu snowball fight the day before. Some others were new, or new to her, and she promised herself that in time she would work her way around to them as well. She waved to Jack as she crossed the room, flashing a slightly reserved smile at their pink-haired host, whose name presently escaped her. Edwin looked like he had something on his mind; something besides the crown, of course, which captured her attention and brought soft laughter to her lips.
"It suits you," she said, fetching up alongside him. Her screwdriver was nearly as tall as his hurricane, and she was nursing it with the same enthusiasm Edwin showed his drink. She was not intoxicated yet, but she had every intention of being so by the time she staggered back up to her room. "The crown, I mean. Though obviously the liquor is hitting the spot, too. Cheers." She clinked her glass to his. "Were those your dulcet tones I heard floating down the corridor when I came in?"
