Theo had expected a better turnout, considering all the excited responses to Kai's initial post. The basement bar was as quiet as the last time she'd been there, and it felt odd to be able to say that -- she'd only been in Zenith for a total of three (or was it four?) days, and to already recognize places made things seem almost normal. For the most part, she couldn't say that she begrudged the sensation, though she would have given anything to be elsewhere.
Still, a party was a party and what better way was there to forget one's troubles? Heading directly for the food and the booze, Theo edged around another man who was lingering near the snack table like an excuse.
"What've we got? Anything good?" She grabbed one pastry, immediately putting it to her mouth and holding it with her teeth like a squirrel as her hands made quick work of the variety of booze on tap. She muttered something else, sounding like she was asking the man a question, but it was unclear through her full mouth.
