It was probably a very good thing that Reginald hadn't posted on the network until later, well after Cecilia had made her rounds of the house and decided to surprise Owen with breakfast. Had she seen Reginald first thing in the morning, she would have been absolutely useless the rest of the day. It was an emotional suckerpunch, and all she'd really wanted to do was beat Reginald's door down until she could confirm that he was there and that he was safe. She had managed to show restraint. She'd managed to get it through her head that all of their 'returns' were going to be overwhelmed by people wanting information, perhaps even feeling entitled to it, and she didn't want to make that worse. When Reginald asked that she wait to visit, she had given him that much.
But God, had it been hard.
When the time came near she'd paced the halls for a while, repeatedly checking her watch to avoid being too early. She managed to wait until 3:59 until she finally knocked. Perhaps it was a good thing he'd asked her to wait until later in the day, because Cecilia had no fear of this being a sick joke, a network prank by Them. If Reginald wasn't really here, Kiley and Chase would have said something on the network. Seeing him still made a lump form in her throat, eyes burning as she moved forward and hugged him. She didn't trust herself to speak just yet.
