"Well I was ill, actually," Reginald answered. "I'd fallen sick and at my age any old thing can be the last, if you catch my meaning -- so I think they wanted to cover their bases. I woke up with oxygen and an IV and was told I was taken out for my health -- and once they were certain I was out of the woods and healthy again, they'd pop me back in. When I was well enough to be up and out of bed they had me do different puzzles and memory games and logic tests and the like -- which, if I'm being honest, I actually quite enjoyed." It was a highly watered down version of the true tale, but, Reginald didn't see telling them the whole truth to be an option yet. Kiley was already unsure of him, and Chase was a little jumpy.
"The cottage was nice!" He said instead. "I would have quite liked it, had I been there by choice. It's the sort of place I would have taken my wife to on holiday." Now it was his turn. "I see Kai on the network, and you all seem quite alarmed by our reappearances. I take it this hasn't happened before with anyone else?"
