That lost feeling only exacerbated itself as Chase looked between Kiley and Reginald, like a puppy trying to decide which owner's orders to follow. Except neither Kiley nor Reginald were actually telling him he had to do anything. "I'll....get tea after," he finally decided, plopping down beside Kiley, close enough that his thigh pressed against hers, and feeling all the better for it.
He frowned slightly at the discussion of Simms, waiting until after Kiley's last question to relay a few of the more helpful details. "Simms is a cop. Or, he says he is. He had the uniform, but he first day he was here he beat Jack up and tried to drag him off somewhere. Cecilia beat him up-Simms, not Jack." He probably didn't need to clarify that, but went on. "Then he tried to...he...cornered Juno on the road into town and tried to-" He cleared his throat, feeling his face redden and his hand clench, but he didn't let his voice raise. "Anyway, I got there in time and stopped him, but then he assaulted Lennon. So...he's dangerous."
