Chase could only stand and stare as the door opened. His body urged him to step back, to do anything, but Reginald was there, and looking at him, and smiling. The familiarity of it punched him in the gut as they stood there. He was glad when Kiley seemingly recovered first and took the lead, because all he could do was follow after her as she entered, watching Reginald for any signs of weirdness, or....pod people had symptoms or whatever, right? Couldn't they only scream? And robots...
He moved without really thinking about it, stepping toward Reginald and hugging the man while instinctively being mindful of his leg. Chase, by definition, wasn't a hugger. Particularly when it came to potential robotic pod people of questionable origin, but he was happy to find that Reginald felt real. "We thought you dead! We thought everyone was dead!" He could consider later that he didn't know for sure if even Kiley thought everyone was dead, let along everyone in the house, but that didn't matter.
