"I think they're being taken care of." Madison replied, nodding in assurance. "I agree, at least they're not dead. Gives us hope, huh?"
She didn't like to see his smile falter, so Madison gave her his best one and got up from the chair to sit down next to him on the bed. "I've got no plans. I thought, you know, hoped, we might cuddle a little. Pick up where we left off yesterday, but a little warmer." She gave a nervous laugh and lowered her head, pretending to take a drink to put the hot mug against her cheeks and make herself look like she was blushing. "But if you've got plans I totally understand."
