The process of replacing the barricade on Juno's door hadn't taken all that much time. With everything built, and all of the tools he needed moved in from the shed to the utility room, it was just an installation project, one that lasted all of about twenty minutes total. He still didn't like that she was moving further away, but he also still fully understood. And she'd have Jack and Lennon if she ever needed anything immediate. The fact that Juno's room was already occupied bothered him a little more, though he sure didn't fault the new girl who was in there now.
Or, the old girl, he supposed, though he was certain she wouldn't appreciate that. He hadn't had the chance to really check on in what was going on there, just that it was.
He'd spent a little time in the kitchen making up some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, along with tomato soup. He brought bottles of water instead of hot cocoa today, not wanting to make juggling all the food any more complicated than it already was. When he actually got to the door he realized that opening it was going to be a bit of a problem, so he lightly knocked with the toe of his boot. "Marco, it's me. My hands are full of lunch, could'ya open up for me?"
