Jack couldn't help but grin at Daniel's tone, feeling a little more chipper as he worked on finishing up his omelet. He wasn't a violent guy, but he was good to know that there might be at least one more person on board with keeping the people in the house safe. "You kinda have to make your own if you feel safer with something like that. As far as I know the only thing we've got in the house that's an actual weapon is a crossbow, and it's pretty safe where it is, I think." If it wasn't he figured one of the security people would have taken it by now.
"If stuff needs to get done we mostly rotate duty, or have people volunteer." He turned off the burner and plated his own omelet before walking to the table. He sat down and settled, starting to cut into his breakfast even as he continued. "I mean, a lot of it has to do with what people did before they got taken. Like, obviously Cecilia's the medical expert, and I'm the chef, Oliver knows how to repair stuff, and Owen helps keep this whole place from burning down. If anyone needs help anywhere most of the house is pretty good at chiming in to get stuff done, and the people who know how to do things are cool with teaching and all that. We've been getting by okay. It wasn't really until the whole cop thing happened that we had to think about what do to with someone like that. We've had a few problems with some people, but nothing that bad. The people here are generally good. It's just a really shitty situation and a lot of us have been here for a while."
