The seated man offered no smile in return to Jack's playful chiding, though he did approve of the man's reaction. It was comforting, in a way, to be treated as "normal," even deprecatingly so.
"Tea? If...there's any..." Since Jack had asked, Kris only thought to inquire. He knew it wouldn't be helpful to be stingy about breakfast, and Daniel's questions about nonperishables had him arching a brow. The thought put the kabosh on any idea of wurst or or brotchen, but he wouldn't turn down an offer of eggs if they were available.
